Inspections - Schedule

Annual Inspection Procedure

Annual inspections of all lifting equipment are required by OSHA.  They provide an overview of repair work that requires immediate attention along with budgetary estimates for rudimentary repairs.  Crane Safety's highly qualified technicians inspect all components of lifting devices during the annual inspection, including all structural, mechanical, and electrical features as required by OSHA.  Inspections are performed on a visual basis and all crane motions are tested.  Their findings are recorded on detailed inspection reports designed to suit specific types of equipment.

Quarterly Inspection Procedure

Quarterly inspections are performed every three months with the annual inspection representing the fourth.  Our service technicians complete a thorough and detailed inspection as per the specifications outlined by OSHA; there is no change in the method reporting.

Quarterly inspections are most helpful in detecting problem areas that may develop and allow timely monitoring of component wear.  This regular assessment, along with consistent and proper lubrication, effectively eliminates downtime due to breakdowns of the lifting equipment which allows your equipment to perform as designed.

Monthly Inspection Procedure

Monthly inspections are based on 11 times per year with the annual inspection fulfilling the 12th inspection.
