Program Overview
Crane Safety Associates of America, Inc. is the leader in professional training programs for crane and rigging operations. Our week long programs in mobile crane operator and rigging fundamentals are an avenue for individuals with little or no experience who want to enter the crane or rigging trade. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the foundation for safe crane and rigging operations and knowledge of equipment and regulations. Our programs will guide students from zero seat time to crane operator or rigger qualification with the option for national certification as a mobile crane operator or rigger. The purpose of the program is to provide you with marketable skills that will be valuable to potential employers. The training and knowledge you receive can give you an advantage when seeking employment because you will already possess the skills and training that employers seek thus saving them upfront training costs. Also, national certification through NCCCO satisfies OSHA’s requirement for mobile crane operator certification and is valid for five years. Our programs are broken down into three individual courses: mobile crane operator for swing cab, mobile crane operator for fixed cab, and rigging fundamentals. Each course is taken independently but all three can be completed within a year. The design of each course will consist of classroom discussions coupled with actual hands-on experience. The hands-on experience will allow the subjects that are taught in the classroom to be put to practical use immediately. Students who practice what they are learning in a hands-on environment can often retain more material as opposed to just sitting in a lecture. Personal guidance from one of CSAA’s instructors will give you the confidence you need to perform your duties in the crane and rigging profession. All of our instructors have 20 plus years of valuable real-world experience that they will pass on to you.
