About Phillip Ezzell

Phillip Ezzell, president of Crane Safety SchoolMr. Phillip Ezzell has been involved in the crane and rigging for over 38 years at every level from apprentice all the way up to upper management. His many years of knowledge in crane, rigging, heavy construction, shipbuilding conversion and repair, and general industry are unsurpassed.  He has experience as a supervisor and manager of water-front operations at a major naval facility.  He has operated, maintained and managed mobile, overhead, portal, gantry, floating, and hammerhead and tower cranes.  He also developed the Navy's shore based sea-going crane safety and training programs.

Mr. Ezzell also has many years of experience as a certified instructor and licensing examiner for the Department of Defense and being a certified NCCCO instructor (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators).  In addition, Mr. Ezzell has extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, and inspections of cranes and heavy construction equipment, as well as related safety areas, specializing in crane and rigging operations.

Mr. Ezzell’s passion for the job site safety of all involved who work in around construction using heavy equipment is what drives Crane Safety Associates of America Inc. to be the leader in professional safety training throughout the whole United States and beyond.  With the addition of the company's new Crane Academy, crane safety school, the ability to provide classroom training is the newest extension of Crane Safety's service to the construction industry.
